What Is the Purpose of This Program?

In the world of Japanese tea, it's not only the moment of enjoyment that counts, but the quietly cultivated relationship over time. Our loyalty points program is a subtle expression of this ongoing connection. It honors your repeated visits with a gesture that is discreet yet meaningful. Each qualifying item you purchase automatically earns loyalty points credited to your customer account. The specific number of points is clearly displayed on the respective product page before purchase. During special occasions, we highlight selected teas with increased point values – for instance, limited harvests, gift editions, or culturally significant events. You are also rewarded for creating an account, referring others, and submitting thoughtful feedback – gestures we acknowledge with quiet thanks in the form of points.

How Are the Loyalty Points Structured?

Our point system is based on a clearly defined tier model, reflecting your order value. It begins at €25 and increases in percentage as the amount rises. Your loyalty is honored in a refined and differentiated way:

€0.00–24.99: no points
€25.00–49.99: 25 points (1%)
€50.00–74.99: 100 points (2%)
€75.00–99.99: 225 points (3%)
€100.00–124.99: 400 points (4%)
€125.00–149.99: 625 points (5%)
€150.00–174.99: 900 points (6%)
€175.00–199.99: 1,225 points (7%)
€200.00–224.99: 1,600 points (8%)
€225.00–249.99: 2,025 points (9%)
from €250.00: 2,500 points (10%)

Each tier applies to the value of a single order. This means you can gradually collect points with multiple small purchases – or reach a higher tier in one step with a larger order.

How Can Loyalty Points Be Redeemed?

Redeeming your points is designed to be simple and intuitive. When you're logged in, your available points will appear in your shopping cart. You can choose how many you'd like to use, and the equivalent amount will be deducted from your subtotal immediately. The applied discount will be shown clearly in your cart and again on the order confirmation page. Please note: Points cannot be applied retroactively to past orders. Points remain active for 180 days and are automatically renewed with every new purchase.

Expiration – Or Rather: A Period of Rest

Bonus points do not expire abruptly, but only after a period of inactivity. If no new orders are placed over a period of 180 days, this is considered a dormant period – a period after which the points expire. However, a single new order, regardless of the order value, is enough to retain the entire points balance and restart the cycle. This turns the program into a gentle rhythm of connection that originates with you and is constantly revitalized by your purchases. You can view your points balance and validity at any time in your customer account under “Bonus Points.”


Can Loyalty Points Be Paid Out?

Our loyalty points are not a currency in the conventional sense. They cannot be exchanged for money, transferred to other customers, or traded. Their value lies in symbolic appreciation, not financial conversion. Points are personal and tied exclusively to your customer account.

The Referral Code – Shared Delight

Under Account > Your Loyalty Program, you’ll find your personal referral code. If you share it with friends or acquaintances – regardless of whether they are existing customers – and the code is used during checkout, you will receive a portion of the order value as loyalty points. The amount is based on the purchase total of the referred customer. In this way, your recommendation becomes a quiet, multiplying gesture of trust and connection.

Are There Limits to Redemption?

To keep the redemption process transparent and practical, certain minimum and maximum values apply. These vary depending on your current point balance and shopping cart total, and will be clearly shown at the time of redemption. The system informs you exactly how many points are required and how many can be used per order – keeping everything clear and straightforward.

What Happens if an Item Is Returned?

If an item is returned or an order is canceled, the associated points will be deducted from your account. If you redeemed points for that order, the value of those points will be adjusted accordingly. In the case of a full return, all points granted or redeemed in that order will be reversed. This ensures a fair and consistent system, where points apply only to completed purchases.

Where Can I See My Points?

You can view your current loyalty point balance at any time by logging into your customer account. A detailed overview will show your collected points, available points, and their origin – along with their validity.
