Tokujou tea from Arasaki: a symphony of floral fragrances
Discover the luxurious Tokujou tea from the renowned tea-growing region of Arasaki, masterfully cultivated by tea makers Junji and Yusuke Kadota. This exceptional tea transports your senses into a world of floral notes and a subtle yet seductive sweetness. Its clear infusion and long-lasting flavor development will make you think of gentle spring days in Japan's blossoming countryside.
The Tokujou impresses with its refined processing. The Yama Yabukita tea leaves from the slopes of Arasaki are subjected to a unique, barely noticeable heating process. This gentle process preserves the freshness, which is reminiscent of a fine shincha, and at the same time makes the tea long-lasting. The subtle heating allows you to enjoy this tea over a longer period of time without losing any of its quality.
Recommended preparation
In order to fully enjoy the complex aromas of this Tokujou tea, we recommend an infusion temperature of around 80 degrees Celsius. This temperature allows the leaves to develop their full range of flavors. An infusion time of less than one minute is sufficient for the first infusion, while the tea requires about one teaspoon (approx. 3 grams) per 200 ml of water. This amount can easily be used for several infusions, whereby the infusion time can be reduced to 10 seconds in order to experience the nuanced flavors again and again.
