In Japanese, the term „fukamushi“ stands for the art of deep steaming tea leaves. This process refers to a special technique in which the steam penetrates deep into the leaf structure. This intensive steaming opens up the leaves more and allows the valuable ingredients to pass more easily into the infusion. The result is a distinctly intense green and rich tea that is a treat for both the palate and the eyes.
Our Fukamushi Sencha owes its uniqueness to the exclusive use of tea leaves from the Oku Yutaka bush variety from the first harvest.
