Benifuuki is a unique tea variety that is the result of crossing the shrub varieties Benihomare and Makura Cd86. Originally developed by the visionary Mr. Tada in the picturesque prefecture of Shizuoka, Japan, this tea was initially intended as a base for black tea. However, its remarkable methylated catechin content has drawn particular attention to its health-promoting properties.

Benifuuki green tea is often prized for its potentially positive effects on allergies, hay fever and atopic dermatitis. While the preparation as oolong tea reduced some of these valuable active ingredients through fermentation, the processing to create green tea - without fermentation - proves to be optimal. This means that the full range of health-promoting components is retained and can be absorbed by the body in its authentic purity.
