Tamaryokucha

Tamaryokucha is often also known as guricha (guri = curly, crimped). The “curly, crimped” leaves are more similar to Chinese green tea than the usually straight leaves of Japanese green tea. Tamaryokucha gets its Japanese character from an intense grassy flavor, which is usually reminiscent of berries or almonds.
Since Tamaryokucha contains very few tannins and bitter substances, this tea is ideal for beginners in the world of Japanese green tea. However, its high quality also makes it very popular with true connoisseurs.
Unlike sencha, tamaryokucha is not rolled into needle-shaped leaves before drying; instead, the tea leaves are left in their original comma-shaped form.
Tamaryokucha is usually infused with water heated to around 55°C to 70°C and left to steep for one to two minutes. You will find detailed preparation recommendations for each tea in the product description.
