A closer look at the carefully sorted leaves reveals the artful processing: the leaves are characteristically curled, similar to the prized Tamaryokucha, also known as Guricha. This fascinating shape is achieved by a special processing technique using a bamboo drum-shaped machine. Unlike the usual Sencha or Gyokuro teas, which are rolled into needle-like shapes, the Go En remains unique in its form.

To experience the full flavor of this Mushi-Guri-Cha, we recommend enjoying one to two teaspoons of Go En in 200ml of water at an optimal temperature of 50 to 55 degrees Celsius. Allow the tea to infuse for 50 seconds for the first infusion and reduce the infusion time to 10 to 15 seconds for subsequent infusions.
