A sensory experience: Yanagicha from the Morimoto family
In the heart of the bright green tea fields of Miyazaki, where the Japanese sun unfolds its mild glow in May, the fine art of tea craftsmanship begins. The tea leaves selected for the renowned Morimoto family's Yanagicha are characterized by subtle mastery. These leaves, slightly larger and stronger than those of the first harvest of the noble Miyazaki Tokujou Sencha, are carefully picked after early dawn.
After a gentle overnight resting phase under strict refrigeration, the leaves undergo a unique processing step. Unlike many other types of tea, these leaves are not rolled into needles, but left in their flat, original shape. As a result, they develop an impressive yield and unfold into a floral, yet profound aroma with every infusion.
Enchanting fragrance nuances and gentle strength
The journey of the senses begins with the first infusion: the floral scent of Yanagicha, which wafts around you like a breath of spring as soon as you open the pack, grows in intensity with each subsequent infusion. This complexity culminates in an aroma that evokes memories of oolong, without the tea itself being fermented. This opens up a spectrum of up to five infusions, each presenting its own range of flavors.
Yanagicha is not just a tea, but an invitation to experience the Japanese art of tea in all its precision and passion. Packaged in units of 100 grams, it offers ample opportunity to turn every cup into a small celebration.
