The Karigane kukicha: a symphony of spring from the Mie prefecture
From the early days of May, the magic of the first harvest of the year unfolds in the tea garden of the traditional Hayashi family. The tender, freshly greened shoots of spring are carefully harvested by hand to create an unforgettable tea experience. In Mie Prefecture, where the art of tea cultivation is cultivated in harmony with nature, the leaves undergo a slightly longer steaming process than usual after harvesting, known as chu-mushi.
After this careful process, the precious leaves are divided into fine leaves and petioles. The result is the pure elegance of Tokujou Sencha, while Karigane Kukicha enchants with its mild balance. The intense yet silky texture of the infusion is the result of this long steeping process, which gives it a slightly cloudy color.
The craftsmanship that goes into this tea is reflected in every moment of enjoyment. The Karigane Kukicha unfolds a subtle sweetness paired with a subtle freshness reminiscent of a spring morning. With each infusion, the depth of its aromas unfolds and offers an experience for the senses.
