Organic Matcha Gyokujou - A masterpiece of the Japanese art of tea
Our dedication to perfection and attention to detail is manifested in this exquisite organic Matcha Gyokujou. Only the most delicate leaves of the Oku Midori bush variety are hand-picked for this exquisite tea and carefully ground into a fine powder. Before harvesting, the tea bushes are shaded for around two to three weeks with traditional black nets, which is known as the kabuse technique. This method subtly enhances the aroma and intensity of the tea.
Haruyo and Shigeru Morimoto, renowned tea masters from Japan, have selected this particular shrub variety for its remarkable flavor characteristics. The organic Matcha Gyokujou impresses with a profound fullness of flavor, which is complemented by a gentle, light umami and a pronounced sweetness. This harmonious composition is the result of careful shading, which brings out the leaf structure and flavor nuances to their best advantage.Compared to our Morimoto Premium Matcha Minami Sayaka, the organic Matcha Gyokujou offers a more intense depth and a fuller body.
